Once a prized dog for Chinese Royalty, the Shih Tzu has come to be prized all over the world. The Shih Tzu is known for its long silky coat, which does require daily brushing. They are a small breed, usually standing no more then 11 inches or weighing more than 16 pounds. Shih Tzus do well in all living conditions, including apartment life, as long as they receive adequate grooming and plenty of attention.
